Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Jalpaiguri Celebrates National Youth Day 2025
Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Jalpaiguri organized a grand program on National Youth Day 2025, commemorating the birthday of Swami Vivekananda. The event began with the garlanding of Swamiji's statue and the flag-hoisting ceremony.
Procession Highlights
A vibrant procession started from the Ashrama, winding its way through the streets of Jalpaiguri town. The participants included:
- Monks, devotees, volunteers, and staff of the Ashrama
- General public
- Teachers and students from 27 various educational institutions
- Dance Academy
- Volunteers from various organizations
The procession featured:
- Tableaux: Shashwata Bharata and Holy Trinity
- Cultural performances: Dhaki and Police Band (IRB, Jalpaiguri)
Approximately 1000 participants took part in the procession, which concluded with the distribution of tiffin packets, complimentary books, HT photos, and Swamiji's photos.
Cultural Program
The Ashrama also organized a cultural program consisting of:
- Vedic chanting
- Patriotic songs
- Band performances
- Inspiring talks
The event was a resounding success, fostering national pride, as envisioned by Swami Vivekananda.
