The Universal Temple of Bhagwan Sri Ramakrishna at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri is under renovation. This temple was consecrated in 1961. This temple is an oasis of peace in Jalpaiguri town. Many devotees and admirers including visitors used to visit the temple during Evening Arati and at other times. During this long period of time, several earthquakes including severe ones occurred in this region. The temple has sustained damages in different parts. There had been no major repair works of the temple, made during this long period. Now, we have started its renovation and expansion work. After this renovation and expansion this temple will have thorough different look. Provision of ramp will be there for the aged persons and shoe keeping rooms will be provided separately. Temple service rooms and Sanctum Sanctorium will be made specious and facilitate with additional facilities also will have an additional seating capacity of 60% more than at present.
We would entreat all devotees, admirers and well-wishers to donate generously for this work and it is our humble appeal to all of you to inform your near and dear ones to contribute as much as possible for this noble cause.
VIVEKANANDA SABHA GRIHA-A MULTIPURPOSE HALL
We entreat for your generous thinking and contribution towards construction of Vivekananda Sabha Griha, resembling the depiction of the Art Institute, Chicago, wherein Swamiji’s most significant , memorable lecture was made in the year 1893 on 11th September and to commemorate 125th celebration of Chicago’s address, a multipurpose hall with the area of 16000 sq ft with that of seating capacity of more than 1300 persons to hold convention for students, youth and general public on various subjects like value Education, cultural, philanthropic , spiritual, religious festivals, medical, cultural and others and in accommodating huge number, coming to attend the above activities from fur flung areas. Through this building, the eternal message of Swami Vivekananda will spread at large and to impart Man - Making Education and Character- Building Ideas for students, youth, and general people of all walks of life to build a great Nation which Swamiji dreamt to achieve. It is also informed that if someone aspires to perpetuate his/her contribution, may be made accordingly.
Established in 1937 and presently running with its existing structure, and having been generously served by eight doctors in our Charitable Dispensary and being the no of patients having been increased day by day, serves indigent and distressed people from remote villages of Jalpaiguri District and adjacent villages of nearby Coochbehar district . At present there are mainly two sections of medicinal application viz. Allopathic and Homeopathy. A sum of Rs. 30 lakhs ( Rupees Thirty Lakhs) only have been estimated for the purpose of renovation of present structure to provide appropriate space to the visiting Doctors, Patients, Medicine distribution section and all the necessary related sectors. Some money have been collected through public donations and we earnestly appeal before you to come forward and help us generously towards maintaining the charitable services as noted above.
Established IN 1937 and presently running with its existing structure, serves indigent and distressed Indigent and distressed talented students from rural areas who do not have any place to stay in the town area and scope for getting school education, live in the student’s home free of cost and with subsidized costs. The students have the opportunity to access the library and the reading room in the library and also in the study room in the hostel.
The Indigent and talented students face some problems towards getting a modern method of education especially in the study room as well as an excess of different books in the Study Room. It is needless to mention here that access to a Smart study room with the facility of E-Class room is very much needed to cater the very needs of the minds of the students. Also, Renovation and Alteration of the present structure are urgently required.
IOCL ( Indian Oil Corporation Ltd) has funded for extension of Student Hostel buildings.
