The Ramakrishna Vivekananda Youth Forum Banarhat, inspired by Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri, organized a two-day annual program on May 2nd and 3rd, 2025, at Banarhat, Dist Jalpaiguri falls under Duars area adjacent to Bhutan. The event featured various spiritual, cultural, and community service activities.
Day 1: May 2nd, 2025
1. Shashwata-Bharat Rath Yatra: A colourful procession with around 350 participants, including students, devotees, and tribal dance troupes, marked the beginning of the program.
2. Devotee Convention: Over 100 devotees and 70 admirers attended, benefiting from Swami Vishwadharananda ji Maharaj's (Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Siliguri) and Swami Pravaranandai Maharaj (Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Jalpaiguri) inspiring speech.
3. Cultural Programs: Local youth and devotees showcased their talents through dance and music performances.
Day 2: May 3rd, 2025
1. Youth Convention: Over 200 youths attended, participating in a Personality Development Workshop focused on meditation, Swami Vivekananda's ideologies, and student duties. benefiting from Swami Shivapremananda Ji Maharaj's (Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Jalpaiguri) and Swami Pravarananda (Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Jalpaiguri) inspiring speech.
2. Narayan Seva: Nutrition food was served to over 450 individuals, emphasizing service to all living beings as equivalent to service to the divine.
3. Cultural Program: The evening featured diverse performances, including tribal dances and yoga demonstrations, concluding with a musical performance by Suropitha from Kolkata.
The program was a grand success, promoting spiritual growth, cultural exchange, and community service, inspired by the ideals of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri.
