A Free Eye Check-up and Cataract Surgery Camp was organized by Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri on 26th April 2026, in collaboration with Siliguri Greater Lions Eye Hospital.
A team of doctors and paramedical staff examined 32 patients. Among them, 11 patients received spectacles, and 9 patients were advised cataract surgery. All services, including consultation, medicines, and spectacles, were provided free of cost.
The camp was conducted with the active support of the Ashrama’s monastics, volunteers, and staff. Tea and snacks were served to patients, followed by cooked prasad at the end.
The initiative reflects the Ashrama’s commitment to service and community welfare.
