Maha Shivaratri was devoutly observed at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri on Sunday, 15 February 2026. The celebration began with traditional Shiva Puja performed with Vedic chanting and deep reverence.
Monks and devotees offered sacred water to the Shivalinga, expressing their devotion and prayers. The programme also featured devotional bhajans and a spiritual Shiva dance, which added to the solemnity and devotional atmosphere of the occasion.
Around 150 devotees participated in the observance. The celebration concluded with the distribution of phal-prasad to all present.
