In conformity with the sacred tradition of the Ramakrishna Order, Kalpataru Utsav commemorating Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna Deva was solemnly celebrated at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri, on Thursday, 1st January 2026.
The programme commenced in the early morning with Mangalarati, followed by Vedic chanting, Puja, and Pushpanjali. Readings from Sri Sri Ramakrishna Kathamrita and Leela Prasanga were conducted, highlighting the spiritual significance of Kalpataru Day. The celebrations also included bhajans, devotional songs, and discourses elucidating the message and grace associated with this auspicious occasion.
Approximately 4,200 devotees participated in the observance with deep devotion and reverence. Cooked prasada was served to about 3,000 devotees. The Ashrama premises were tastefully decorated with flower tubs, creating a serene and festive spiritual atmosphere.
A spirit of devotion, discipline, and enthusiasm prevailed throughout the day, reflecting the enduring reverence of devotees towards Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna Deva and the sanctity of Kalpataru Utsav.
