Report on Jalpaiguri Sharadiya Durga Puja – 2025

Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri, observed the worship of the Divine Mother Sri Sri Durga from 27th September to 2nd October 2025, marking the 65th year of this sacred celebration.

This year, more than 30,000 devotees and well-wishers attended the festival and received the blessings of the Universal Mother. The Kumari Puja and the Sandhi Puja were performed with deep devotion, further enhancing the spiritual sanctity of the occasion.

On the sacred days of Saptami, Ashtami, and Navami, about 12,000 devotees were served cooked Prasad and distributed at the Ashrama.

The rituals were conducted with devotion and spiritual fervour under the guidance of monastics.  

All programmes and worship were carried out with solemnity and deep spiritual intensity. The weather remained extreme hot throughout the celebration, except on Dashami evening, when rain accompanied the immersion ceremony.

The festival was a profound spiritual experience for all, leaving the devotees inspired and reinforcing faith and devotion in their hearts.
