Report on Ramakrishna Mission Foundation Day Celebration 2025

Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri, celebrated Mission Foundation Day on May 1-2, 2025, with great enthusiasm and devotion.

Day 1: May 1, 2025, Thursday

The first day of the celebration was marked by a series of spiritual and cultural programs. The events included:

• Vedic Chanting
• Devotional Songs
• Reading (Swami Shishya Sangbad by Swami Pravarananda)
• Guided Meditation by Swami Shivapremananda
• Lecture on "Sangharupi Ma Sarada" by Swami Jitmohananda
• Lecture on "Responsibility of Ramakrishna Mahasangha and Household Devotees" by Dr. Sameer Kumar Dasgupta
• Vote of Thanks by Shri Mihir Banerjee
• In this programme "Vivekananda Abhyudaya Prakalpa" an initiative for the education of underprivileged girls also have been launched.  

Over 300 devotees participated in the program, and tea and snacks were distributed among them.

Day 2: May 2, 2025, Friday

The second day of the celebration featured a musical performance, "Giti Alekhya – Chicagor Pathe Swami Vivekananda," by Surpeeth, Kolkata, led by Sri Sushanta Dutta. The program also included:

• Vedic Chanting
• Devotional Songs
• Guided Meditation

More than 350 devotees attended the program, and tea and snacks were distributed among them.
