Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri, was honoured to host the Most Revered President Maharaj, Swami Gautamanandaji, on May 11th-12th, 2025. The visit was a grand celebration of spirituality, devotion, and community.

Grand Reception and Procession

• Date: May 11th, 2025
• Time: 10:45 am
• Revered Maharaj was warmly welcomed at Goshala More by a convoy of cars and bikes adorned with flags.
• The procession, featuring the majestic Shashwata-Bharata Ratha, made its way to nearby PWD, where it was joined by enthusiastic devotees and admirers.

 

Cultural Extravaganza

The procession was led by VAP students, who extended a heartfelt "Swagatam" to Revered Maharaj near Gandhi Statue.

Highlights included:

• Melodious conch shells blown (Shankha Dwani) by women devotees carrying Kalash.
• Rhythmic drum beats
• 19 cultural groups participated, showcasing:
• Dhak performances
• Kirtan teams
• Adivasi Nritya
• Bairati dance
• RAF Band party
• Traditional oil lamps at the main gate
• Tableau of Thakur, Maa, and Swamiji, Tribal dance, and Manab Murty of the holy trio.
