Our Jalpaiguri ashrama had organized a Transport Workers’ Conference in our Ashrama precinct on Sunday evening, 27 August 2017, from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm. There were 168 drivers of different categories of vehicle who attended the programme. Swami Shivapremananda gave the Welcome Address. The programme includes bhajans, and talks on the holy life of Sri Sri Thakur, Sri Sri Ma and Swamiji by Swami Muktidananda, Swami Devarajananda, Swami Atmavidananda, Swami Parananda and Sri Samir Kumar Dasgupta. A film on the life of Swamiji was also shown. The attending transport workers liked the conference very much. The programme ended with complementary gifts provided to them.
