Morning Session – Youth Convention
Youth Convention was held at Ashrama premises for the students and youth of 16-30 years age. The main attractions were – Vedic chanting, Guided Meditation, Lecturers, Patriotic songs, Classical Music, Youth presentation, Interaction Session etc. Revered Swami Achyuteshanandaji Maharaj, Trustee Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission Belur and Secretary Ramakrishna Mission Narottamnagar (Arunachal Pradesh) has delivered an inspiring lecture on “Right uses of Modern Gadgets”. A lecture was delivered on “Success Mantra” by Revered Swami Tyagarupanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksh Ramakrishna Math Malda and “Classical Music, Meditation and Swamiji” by Surmani Dr. Dattatreya L. Velankar, renowned Hindustani classical artist, teacher, educationist and founder of Shadja Kala Kendra, Bangalore. Among 527 participants Registered delegates 303 boys, 168 girls and 28 faculties from 17 educational institutes and 8 study circles from Jalpaiguri town and nearby places have and 28 guests participated in this convention. Cooked Prasad served to all the participants.
Evening Session
In the evening session, Songs, Cultural Programme by the students of Sarada Shishu Tirtha Bazarapara (Jalpaiguri), Discourses on Life and Teachings of Swami Vivekananda by Revered Swami Achyuteshanandaji Maharaj, Life and Teachings of Srima Sarada Devi" by Swami Tyagarupanandaji Maharaj and Gaan-Kirtana by Dr. Dattatreya L. Velankar were the main attraction of this programme. Around 2000 people have taken part in this event.
