Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri celebrated the concluding part of the 125th Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Addresses on 11, 22 – 27 September 2019

The components of the programme were Shanka Nada, Vedic chanting, national song -Vande Mataram, Special Address, Cultural programme on the life and teachings of Swamiji by different educational Institutions, Distribution of Scholarships and Prizes to Indigent and distressed meritorious students, vote of thanks, National Anthem. Shrimati Sabujkali Sen, Ex -Vice-Chancellor , Visva Bharati University, West Bengal was the guest speaker..910 attended the programme.

The components of the programme were flower offering , Vedic chanting , guided meditation , devotional songs, spiritual talks, discourses, classical bhajans and interactions.
Swami Atmapriyananda, Swami Vijneyananda, Swami Tyagarupananda, Swami Divyavratananda, Swami Nityasatyananda, Swami Stavapriyananda, Swami Maheshwarananda were present. The Convention was arranged for registered delegates. 474 attended the morning session
The evening session was dedicated as Sri Ramakrishna Dev. The components of the evening session were Vedic Chanting, Devotional songs, Spiritual talks, Classical Bhajans, Cultural programs. Participants- Swami Atmapriyananda, Swami Tyagarupananda, Swami Divyavratananda, Swami Stavapriyananda. 300 attended the evening session.
23 September 2019: Youth Convention
The components of the programme were Motivational Talks, Guided Meditation, songs, Students’ Performance, Cultural Programmes, Interactions. Swami Atmapriyananda, Swami Tyagarupananda, Swami Divyavratananda, Swami Stavapriyananda were present. Sri S.K.Roy was the guest speaker. 469 students and youth attended the programme. Students of Gramin Koushal Yojana,Satelite town, Fulbari performed a mime programme on Misuse of Mobile phones and addiction in Drugs.
23 September, 2019: Ma Sarada Devi Day
The components of the evening session were Vedic Chanting,Devotional Songs, Spiritual Talks, Punthi Patha, cultural Programmes & Prize Distribution to Different Competitions of Drawing, Art, Handicraft, Extyempore Speech, Song, Recitation etc. Swami Maheshwarananda, Swami Stavapriyananda were present. Sri S.K.Roy, Sri Subhas Sarkar were the guest speakers. 210 attended the programme.

Annadana, Vastradana, Pranadana (Poor feeding, Garment Distribution and Health Check up and Awareness Camp) were organized at the Ashrama.
Participants-20 Esteemed Doctors of Jalpaiguri and Siliguri and 15 Medical Associates including Ophthalmic, Pathologists. Attendance-645 poor and distressed patients were checked up and prescribed medicines.
Blood Donation Camp – participated : 43 including Monks, Brahmacharins, Devotees, and Admirers.
Para Military Force Convention was conducted in the evening. The components of the convention were Vedic Chanting, Devotional Songs, Motivational Speeches, Cultural Programmes and Stage Performance, and Playing of Patriotic Tunes on Musical Bands by BSF Personnel. Si Monoj Kr Sarkar, Sri Anam Saxena were the participants. 300 attedned the convention.
26 September 2019 Jala Yajna
The components of the proframme were Flower offering, Vedic Chanting Devotional songs, reading, spiritual talks, prayer, Japa and meditation interaction. Participants -Swami Shantatmananda, Swami Omkaratmananda. 207 devotees attended the programme.
26 September 2019 Evening Session
The day was dedicated as Swami Vivekananda day. The components of the evening session wereVedic chanting ,devotional songs, spiritual talks and cultural program on Durga rupini Maa Sarada.Participants -Swami Divyavratananda, Swami Shantatmananda. Around 200 persons attended the programme.
27 September, 2019 Harmony of religions Convention
The components of the programme were Vedic chanting, Spiritual talks, reading, devotional songs. Participants- Swami Shantatmananda, Swami Divyavratananda, Shri GS Hora, Shri Karan Singh Jain, Phara Buddhasri Mahathero, Bhola Mandal, Jahirul Alam. Around 210 persons attended the program
27 September 2019, Evening Session: Concluding day of Chicago addresses
The components of the final session were Vedic chanting, devotional songs, spiritual talks, dance drama & drama. Participants -Swami Shantatmananda, Swami Divyavratananda. Cultural programs were organised by the students of various educational institutions. Around 350 persons attended the programme.
